ChipIn vs Redswing
Redswing is free to set up. It takes 3% to 5% of what you raise. ChipIn is $299, flat.
What a percentage model costs a real event, and what ChipIn charges instead.
The short answer
Redswing has no setup fee. Its revenue comes from a percentage of what your event raises: 3% of registrations, 5% of auction sales, 5% of sponsorships and 5% of add-ons. "Cover the Fee" is pre-checked at checkout, so most of the time your golfers pay it, and that is their money that never reaches your event or your cause. On a typical 144-golfer event with an auction and sponsors, that is more than $1,500. ChipIn is one flat fee per event with nothing on what you raise, and everything is included: your brand on a mobile-first site, your own domain if you want one, auction winners charged the moment the auction closes, a staffed check-in desk on any device, expenses and P&L in one ledger, and copying last year's event.
ChipIn is best for
Any event that wants to keep more of what it raises and run it on the most modern tools in the industry. One flat fee, nothing on registrations, sponsorships or the auction, with everything from registration questions to the leaderboard built for the phone in your golfers' hands.
Redswing is best for
Events raising under about $7,500 that want to pay nothing upfront, and organizers who want text-to-bid and an AI-written post-event report.

Questions.
Is Redswing cheaper than ChipIn?
Only on events that raise under about $7,500. Redswing's blended fee is about 3.9% of what you raise, so it passes ChipIn's flat $299 at roughly $7,500 and keeps climbing from there. On a typical 144-golfer event it is over $1,700.
Who pays Redswing's fee?
Your golfers, most of the time. "Cover the Fee" is pre-checked at checkout and adds the fee to their total. If they uncheck it, your event pays. Either way it is money that does not reach your cause.
Does ChipIn charge a percentage?
No. One flat fee per event, currently $299, for any number of golfers, sponsors and bidders. Every dollar raised is paid to your own account.
